Crochet for Beginners: Crocheting in the Round
A two-part crochet workshop with Marijke IJff
Wednesday, March 5th & 12th, 2025 - 5:30 pm- 7:30 pm
During winter many folks feel a strong urge to get lost in fiber arts, but it can be challenging to begin by yourself. Take part in this class and learn some basics of crocheting through making your own brimmed hat!
This is a two part class that will allow everyone to begin their hat and get a strong foothold on how it’s created.
Everyone will learn to:
● Start a project with a magic circle
● Chain Stitch
● Double Crochet Stitch
● Increase
● Change colors
● Finish their project
All materials will be supplied. Participants will have access to a crochet hook during their sessions and are able to purchase one separately at either of the sessions if they would like. This project will use a 4.5mm or 5mm crochet hook and around size 4 medium yarn. Participants are welcome to bring any supplies they may already have.
Join this workshop for two cozy evenings of hot tea and crocheting with those in our community! Leave this workshop feeling confident in the basics of crocheting in the round!
