“Surrealist Parlor Games” with Naomi
Did you know that some of the most recognized and celebrated Surrealist artists spent their free time together playing art games in the dark bars and street cafes of Paris in the 1920's? Artists like Marcel Duchamp, Francis Picabia and Man Ray knew that getting playful with their art while spending time with their friends was a GREAT way to support their creativity!
We'll do our best to re-create the vibe of 1920's Paris right here in Bishop, giving ourselves permission to play, create and collaborate together! Through games such as such as "Cadavre Exquis" (Exquisite Corpse) we will explore how some of the legends of Surrealism found inspiration for their incredible ideas. French berets, wine drinking and 1920's style clothing are welcome, but not required! Come tend your creativity through PLAY!
