Pelvic Floor Workshop for Folks with Female Anatomy with Margy

LET'S TALK ABOUT A COMMON PROBLEM NO ONE WANTS TO TALK ABOUT!

Do you leak when you sneeze or cough? Are you afraid to lift, run, or jump? Do you find yourself having the urge to urinate more frequently? You are not alone!!! Over 60% of all women in the US experience some degree of incontinence – and, despite popular misconceptions, this includes women who have never birthed a baby.

The most common solution Western Medicine has to offer is Kegels. There are many problems with this solution:

✅ Kegels are rarely taught, and therefore are rarely performed, correctly.
✅ Kegels isolate your pelvic floor muscles, when in fact your pelvic floor muscles never functionally work in isolation — they are part of two important (related but separate) teams: your core stability team of muscles, and your pressure management team of muscles.
✅ Kegels assume that the pelvic floor muscles are weak/hypotonic, when in fact overactive/hypertonic pelvic floor muscles are just as problematic.

Come learn some corrective exercise solutions and the science behind them. Conceptual understanding is power!!!
