C5 Studios Community Arts Center proudly presents a unique new show of artwork and writing by John Hallberg and Chris Langley.

Dreams and the subconscious realm from which they emerge have long been a source of inspiration to artists, musicians, poets and writers.  Our dreams can be simultaneously banal and magical; elusive yet lingering, hilarious and profound.  

Science has proved that everyone dreams. For those who say they don’t, it is likely a matter of not being able to recall their dreams upon awakening.  Many more of us have experienced a vivid recall on wakening, only to find that moments later all details have fallen away like grains of sand through our fingers.  To share these dreams with another can feel impossible with identities that shapeshift; details drifting between multiple dimensions, following no recognizable chronology.  For many of us, dreams are the ultimate ephemera.  

A fascination with dreams and a desire to recall and explore them is at the center of Betwixt and Between - A Show of Dreams.  In a truly unique show, C5 Studios will present a series of art installations showcasing a selection of writing and artwork created through an extraordinary collaboration between writer and prolific dreamer Chris Langley and artist John Hallberg. 

The show opens to the public on Friday, May 5th at C5 Studios, 210 S Warren Street with a reception from 5.30pm-7.30pm.  Dreams, beverages and birthday cake will be provided.  All are welcome.
