Sacred Rok is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support youth in nature, helping youth to learn to respect nature and through that, to respect themselves. This collaborative piece was created by Sacred Rok youth reflecting upon their experience of living in this valley. For almost a year, this group met weekly, researching the native plants and wildlife of this valley through drawing and painting. The plan for the mural was to have the four seasons represented to fully capture the beauty of the Sierra Nevada mountains. The Lead Artists working with this group were Katie Lambert and Naomi Hart Johnson.
