Giving and Receiving Presence

A Thai Massage workshop with Sarah Yovovich

Sunday, December 11th, 2022 - 10am - 1pm

Thai massage is about doing less and feeling more; a meditation on presence and unconditional loving kindness. It sounds simple -- and it is -- but it's not always easy. It's a journey of connection, self-love, and allowing ourselves to be held and nurtured by one another's presence.

Sarah will guide you to give and receive several Thai massage sequences, including supine (on your back), prone (on your belly), and sidelying, connecting to the sweetness of your inner therapist, and melting into receptivity.

A perfect treat to culminate the year and ground yourself through the holiday hustle.

*This day also offers invaluable tools for yoga teachers, massage therapists, and energy workers who wish to develop a new dimension of healing touch for students or clients.

Bring a friend or make some there!

No specialized attire or footwear is required. Please arrive in comfortable, non-restrictive clothing.

About the teacher:

Sarah Yovovich thrives through play. She has been teaching formally since she was 12 years old, and her inner 12 year old and outer 42 year old both love sharing Thai massage, handstands, and AcroYoga as modes of healing through play. After a gymnastics injury and knee surgery in 2004, she became a massage therapist and yogi. In 2008, she fell in love with the playful and healing practice of AcroYoga. Through AcroYoga she discovered Thai massage, and was blown away by its gentle efficiency and its unique design to be healing for the giver, too. She weaves wisdom from Chinese medicine’s 5 Element Theory into all of her offerings, finding inspiration in the connections we can draw between nature and our internal landscapes.
