This piece is a celebration of our beautiful home in the Eastern Sierra. Each element depicted—flowing river, wildflowers, the hawk, and the mountains— are all aspects of our natural world here that we surely recognize as part of this special landscape. Running prominently through the center of the mural is the Owens River, signifying the importance of water in the valley. In creating this mural, I aimed to pay tribute to this place we love by artistically representing it in vibrant colors and textures. My hope is that the mural will activate our appreciation for this land and how all depends on water.
