Classes and Workshops at C5 Studios 

About our sliding scale payment structure

When you register for a class at C5 Studios, you will most often encounter a sliding scale payment system. This offers you, the customer, the opportunity to decide how much you pay to attend classes and workshops at C5 Studios.

Usually we will offer 3 levels - Supported, Community and Supporter.

• Supported - This payment option is priced a little under the value that is considered a fair price for the event, class or workshop. We encourage you to use this option if the Community price feels too high for your household or income level.

• Community - This option is a fair price for the event, class or workshop. Often this price will cover the materials that you will use, payment of teachers and other costs incurred as we maintain a warm, comfortable and inspiring space for you to create in. Paying this price allows us to cover our costs and continue offering programming to our community.

• Supporter - This option allows those who are able to pay a little more to support those who are not able to afford our Community price. We encourage those of you who are comfortable with the price of the Supporter option to consider using your privilege to increase access for others, contributing to a society which prioritizes access for all over paying the least you can for experiences that you value.

This payment structure is based around trust and community mindedness. We will not question or deny your choice of payment level. We ask that you choose the payment level that you are able to.

Scholarships and free access - We are developing a scholarship program to allow us to offer free of charge access to our programming on an individual basis. We welcome inquiries about free access even as we work to develop our scholarship program. Please reach out via email to contact@c5studios.org or come in to C5 Studios and chat with us.

Cancellation Policy 

If YOU need to cancel:

• We strongly urge anyone who has COVID-like symptoms or who has been around others with COVID or symptoms to stay at home and not to visit the arts center or attend classes. There will be plenty more opportunities to get creative together in the future! Let’s all play our part in being cautious and keeping each other safe.

  If you have registered for a class but are unable to attend due to any concern over your health you will be offered the following:

  • If no notice is given and you simply do not show up for a class or workshop you are NOT eligible for credit or a refund

  • If up to 72 hours notice is given you will be offered credit for the amount paid for your class to use towards any future classes at C5 Studios.

  • If you cancel with 72 hours or more advance notice you will be offered credit for the amount paid for your class to use for any future classes at C5 Studios or you may request a full refund.

• If you choose to change plans for reasons other than health concerns and you inform us with 72 hours or more notice you will be offered credit for the amount paid for your class to use towards any future classes at C5 Studios

If C5 STUDIOS cancels:

• If a workshop, class or event is unable to go ahead and is rescheduled to a later date you will be informed immediately and will automatically have your registration transferred over to the new date.

• If a workshop, class or event is unable to go ahead as scheduled at C5 Studios you will be offered credit for the amount paid for the class or event to use for any future programming at C5 Studios or you may request a full refund.
