Mobius Arch (L) and The Druid Stones (R)

Ashley Anderson

It's pretty simple, I like rocks. I love their texture, contours, weight, and how they can be appreciated aesthetically across cultures. They stand proud in our landscapes and offer greater perspectives on time.

About the Artist

Ashley is a plein air watercolor artist originally from Virginia, using art as a catalyst to hike and rock climb to vantage points in search of compositions. This has landed her mostly across the western US. She finds a peaceful connection with her environment through painting, mirroring natural hues and impressions of the world as it is in front of her. She’s interested in rock textures most brought to life by the pen’s sharp edge. This is her first opportunity to design her own mural, though she has been a mural assistant in the past. She chose to represent Mobius Arch (left) from the Alabama Hills and the Druid Stones (right) just above Bishop as two views that her hands wanted to study and relive. Ashley is open to more mural opportunities in the community to enhance homes or elevate business spaces.
