Beginner Juggling for Kids
A juggling workshop with Lana
Saturday March 16th, 2024 - 10:30am - 11:30am
In this class, Lana will teach you how to impress your friends and family, and basically be the coolest person in the room. The goal of this class is to strengthen your spiderman-like reflexes, peripheral vision, and overall ninja skills to achieve the basic art of juggling.
First, Lana will talk about what juggling is, why it is important, and how it can help you. Then we will play some juggling games to help warm up our hand-eye movements. Lastly, we will use scarves to learn the basic patterns of juggling and then move on to juggling balls.
This class requires no prior juggling experience, but juggling does take focus, modest hand-eye coordination, and most importantly a playful attitude! Please wear comfortable clothes. Supplies will be provided, but we encourage bringing your own juggling balls and/or juggling scarves if you have them.
This workshop is for ages 8+
About the instructor:
My name is Lana (rhymes with banana) and I have been juggling on and off for the last 10 years. I first came across juggling when I was traveling alone (and a bit bored) and found endless entertainment and gratification through throwing the balls around in different patterns. Last year, I started teaching juggling to friends and loved seeing the joy it brought to them. My goal is to keep spreading those smiles and encourage creative outlets.
