Abstract Ornaments

A watercolor workshop with Ana Budnyk

Thursday December 8th, 2022 - 5.30pm - 7.30pm

In this workshop, we will learn about experimental watercolor techniques to paint ornaments and postcards for the holiday season. This class starts building your watercolor vocabulary to give you more blush, water, and pigment control in watercolor. We will explore basic materials and techniques in watercolor: wet on wet, layering, and creating gradients and textures.

In this workshop you will:

• Learn some basic tips and tricks on how to lay down paint

• Create a glossary of watercolor techniques to pull from 

• Get comfortable using your intuition for color selection and textures

• Create depth through layering watercolor

• Have fun time connecting with other folks living in  the area

This class is for people with no prior experience in watercolor. All levels are welcome.

Workshop materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your brushes, paints, and paper to familiarize yourself with your materials.
